Mushy, tasteless March 03, 2014
"I was really excited to get these for my wife for Valentine's Day. But I have to say the reviews on here are pretty accurate. It seems like about one out of every 5 deliveries is a dud. I got a dozen berries. They were small, four of the 12 berries were smashed and the chocolate was broken...and five of the berries were green!!! So much potential but such poor execution."

Best Chocolate Covered Strawberries I Ever Had!!!! March 02, 2014
"Got these as a v-day present from my best friend and I absolutely loved them <3 Packaged great, and put in a ice box to keep cool. Arrived to me just before the ice completely melted. I want to order more for myself but they are just too expensive! Wish they were cheaper..."

Very Disappointed February 21, 2014
"My daughter's boyfriend sent this Valentine's gift to me as a thank you. It was horrible! He received an email saying that it was going to be late, but it is down right gross. It was delivered yesterday afternoon, 6 days after Valentines Day and when I opened it, it was a leaky, smelly, moldy, disgusting mess. As a teenage boy, using his own money for this thoughtful gift, I would certainly hope you will refund his money and make the situation right.."

Lousy berries, good chocolate February 21, 2014
"We received these as a gift and can not tell the sender how lousy the berries were. The chocolate is decent, but the berries were either watery or 50%+ unripened. We couldn't even eat them!"

After Several Years - this may be the last time. February 20, 2014
"EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Berries this year are (1) not the same sized as in years past (2) not sized as one would be led to believe by the pictures and advertising (3) not the same quality as in years past (4) not as appealing to recipients and colleagues as they had been in the past (5) falling in quality the past 2 or so years with no signs that Sherry's Berries is interested in doing much about it. > My tradition is to send my wife at work 6 Dipped Large Strawberries for Valentines Day, at her workplace. The first 3-4 years I did this, they were stupendous. Very large. Very fresh. Great tasting. Awesome looking. It made her colleagues jealous just looking at them! Last year, they were not quite so big, but still looked and tasted okay (note OKAY, not Great). > This year, as last, I saw an increasing number of negative comments within recent weeks and months. I also noted that the overall star rating was still high (a bit later on the math trick for this). I also noted that from one 6-set to another on the site, the referrals were mixed. I gave it a shot anyway, for tradition if nothing else. > This year was a BIG disappointment. > This year's order had one decently larger sized berry. The rest were no different from the standard size that I can run down to the local (small town) market and buy off the shelf. One had a spot my wife had to cut off because it looked like it was going bad. No nice green tops like in the (I am now realizing) old, long ago taken picture. My order was pretty much along the lines of many of the more recent critical reviews. > The only comment this year from her colleagues was one person in passing who referred to them as "cute." > Just last night we stopped by a store in the city. Their STANDARD berries for sale (and ON SALE because they have so many) are HUGE in comparison to what my wife got this year. She even commented, "that's what my Valentines berries used to look like." We took pictures. Karen says that 5 of her berries this year were easily half this sized (normal sized). > After examining the ratings, it appears that the star ratings are still high, not because of merit, but because they are keeping all of the numerous positive and high ranking stars they got in past times. This mathematically ensures that it will take a LOT of negative comments to lower the star ratings. In fact, I recall 3 years ago these berries being rated at 5 stars. It is now down to 3+ to 4-something, depending on which add you click on. I suspect that if you eliminated any reviews over 2 years old, the star rating would drop dramatically, and in my opinion - rightly so. > I am forwarding this to Sherry's Berries staff as well. I do not know what the business climate is for them, but these points from the consumer standpoint are obvious. Large and good quality berries ARE NOT in short supply - so why not use them, Sherry's?"

Looks nothing like the Advertisments February 17, 2014
"For the price, I was very disappointed. They look nothing like the advertisments and Wal-Mart has better tasting berries than this place. Very unfortunate because I was excited to eat them!!! Sad face."

Worst Valentine's Day Gift February 17, 2014
"Due to the weather I understand that the delivery of the strawberries were delayed and that is no problem. My concern is that due to the outstanding delay you still sent the same strawberries that were previously sent out prior to the snow storm. Not only did they arrive to me misconstrued, they also smell as well as the ice pack was melted. As I business I know you would like to get the product to the customer as soon as possible as you should be. I just thought as a company you would be concerned and take more pride on the condition it would be in when arriving to the final distention. I have attached a photo to this email on what the final product looks like. At this time I would like to know how this issue would be rectified. As a company you should be embarrassed on how this product looked and smelled when the package finally arrived not only was it an inconvenience I also can not enjoy my gift as planed."
